Abhisit Vejjajiva’s of Democrat party most likely to be next Prime Minister of Thailand with new national unity government

Thailand’s Army chief General Anupong Paojinda is backing the proposal of a national unity government brought forth by Abhisit Vejjajiva’s Democrat party and said the emergency decree should be dissolved, he said the national unity government is the best way to bring peace to the ongoing political crisis.

By the new national unity government a new prime minister would be chosen by the coalition parties should be someone who could ease tensions to ongoing political crisis.

Abhisit Vejjajiva’s Democrat party asked the 6 coalition parties to support the party’s proposal for a national unity government.

Abhisit Vejjajiva is said to be the favored as prime minister in a national unity government.

Democrat leader Abhisit Vejjajiva has said national the government would give people outside political parties a role in political affairs. The national unity government would comprise all parties and have a short term due to a lack of opposition parties in Thailand’s House.

ABHISIT VEJJAJIVA has only opposition group in Parliament. Abhisit, 44 years old, born in UK, educated at Eton and Oxford. Some critics say Abhisit is out of touch with the rural majority. Abhisit is favored by PAD protest leader Sondhi, Abhisit could form a new coalition with Samak’s PPP allies, putting an end to the People’s Power Party.
