Thailand’s Supreme Court delayed verdict on corruption case against Thaksin
Thailand’s Supreme Court delayed its verdict on case against Thaksin and his wife Khunying until October 21, 2008. Thailand’s Supreme Court postponed verdict because they said the couple should be present in court.
“These defendants should appear before the court, according to the legal process, the court has issued an arrest warrant to bring them back to listen to the verdict,” chief judge Thonglor said.
Thaksin is charged with abusing his authority as prime minister in helping his wife, Khunying purchase a land in Bangkok in the Ratchadaphisek district for a price way below the market price.
