Airport Closings in Southern Thailand by PAD

The People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) said today they will close 5 airports on Saturday in the South to prevent visit by Prime Minister Somchai.

A southern leader of PAD said Somchai is not welcome in the South of Thailand because he is a nominee of ousted Prime Minister Thaksin.

The 5 airports in South of Thailand are Phuket Intl. Airport, Hat Yai Airport, Krabi, Nakhon Si Thammarat Airport and the Surat Thani Airport. The PAD said they will use peaceful human barricades to prevent a visit by Mr Somchai on Saturday.
