Puea Thai MPs Risk Disqualification
Members of Parliament in Thailand’s Puea Thai party will not resign their seats even if the Election Commission rules that they were guilty of holding shares in firms outlawed by the charter, according the chairman of opposition whips Witthaya Buranasiri.

He maintained that the Puea Thai MPs will remain until such time as the Constitution Court chooses to give its final ruling. In total, 23 Puea Thai MPs risk being disqualified by the EC. He informed Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban, who had only yesterday resigned as a Member of Parliament for being disqualified by the Election Commission , to endure to the discomfort. He added that he appreciated Mr Suthep’s feelings, as many Puea Thai MPs had familiarity the same type of discomfort.
