Tourist Flight Crashes at Samui Airport
A Bangkok Airways plane has crashed at Koh Samui airport. Originally, ten people, including a pilot, were reported to have died. Latest reports indicate the pilot was the only casualty.
Flight number PG 26 crashed on arrival from Krabi province, according to reports from Thai television.
The plane swerved off the runway in high winds and crashed into a building in the vicinity of the airport control tower.
Department of Civil Aviation director-general Kannika Dechatiwongse stated that 68 passengers and four cabin crew had boarded the plane at Krabi.
