More Warrants Issued in Sondhi Case
More Warrants are to be issued for the arrest of suspects in the attempt to kill the leader of the People’s Alliance for Democracy, Sondhi Limthongkul.
Deputy Bangkok city police chief Sumeth Ruengsawat said detectives would seek court approval of the warrants subsequent to assembling vital facts to corroborate the charges.
The warrants are to be issued next week, but it is unknown at this time how many more suspected conspirators would be arrested.
Police Gen Thanee, who leads the inquiry into the attempted murder of Mr Sondhi, said the Prime Minister had sent for him to account for new developments in the case.
Warrants have already been sent down for Sgt Maj Panya Srihera, from the army’s Special Warfare Command in Lop Buri, and also Pol Cpl Worawut Mungsanthi of the Narcotics Suppression Bureau. Both suspects are still at large.
