Abhisit Claims Recordings of Him are Phony
Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has publicly maintained That the audio clip emailed around Thailand that appeared to be his voice had been altered and edited and was a deception. The supposed voice of Abhisit on the clip is ordering officials to use violence against red-shirt marchers during the Songkran riots back in April of this year.
Mr Abhisit said on Thursday,”I have listened to the clip and it is definitely an edited clip because I have never given out such order,”

he said that the altered sound clip was emailed to the public to hoodwink people into believing the administration had been looking for an justification to compel a national state of emergency to deal with the Red-shirt protesters in April.

The voice message has also been played on DStation, the satellite TV channel run by the anti-government United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD).

Abhisit said he would take legal against the person accountable for releasing the audio recording, and cautioned the red-shirt group not to disseminate it because he would bring charges against them also.
