Coalition May Unravel
It is a possibility that political allies of the ruling Democrat Party would change to join forces with Puea Thai Party to form a new administration in the near future, Puea Thai MP for Nakhon Phanom Phaichit Sriworakarn announced on Saturday.
“Some key members of political parties in the Democrat-led coalition administration had already approached Puea Thai to talk about current political situation. They were disappointed with the Democrats’ decision not to support the proposed changes to the 2007 Constitution”, Mr Phaichit told reporters.
This is a good opportunity for the opposing camp to improve relations with the minor coalition colleagues to pave way for joining hands to form a government in the foreseeable time ahead, the MP added.
He persevered that Puea Thai Party stands firm to be in opposition to the charter changes but will think about appraising its position if the political situation becomes different.
