Hun Sen Touchy About His Appearance in Uniform
A fresh barrage of insults by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen aimed at Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva is expanding the diplomatic gulf among the two countries.
Thailand and Cambodia had been struggling to find ways to mend fences after a series of quarrels but Hun Sen yesterday appeared to want more trouble.

Hun Sen’s web site was filled with barbs aimed at Abhisit. Hun Sen was quoted as saying “you are a robber who stole power, just try and stand for election, you will be defeated,” and “you used the yellow-shirts to set the stage for a coup and close the airports,” and perhaps most scathing, “it is none of your business how I wear a uniform!”
A military standoff carried on yesterday morning around the Ta Muan Thom shrine as the army tripled its troops to about 1,500 to offset Cambodian troops increasing security during Hun Sen’s visit to the opening observance of a military office at Ban O-rumchong, six kilometers inside of Cambodian territory.
