Yellow Shirts Will Keep Shirts in the Closet
Thailand’s People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) will acknowledge the upcoming Supreme Court ruling and will not stage any gathering even if the court rules not to seize assets of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and his relatives, PAD central leader Phiphob Dhongchai maintained.
“PAD will accept the court verdict and will not make any political move as it could be cited to incite violence”, Mr Phiphob was reported to have said on Saturday.
He said he is convinced that the government is able to keep the uncertain state of affairs under control. However, he cautioned the government about the third party which wants to provoke unrest in the country.
The Supreme Court’s Criminal Division for Holders of Political Positions will on Feb 26 present a judgment on whether to seize 76.6 billion baht in assets of Thaksin and his relations.
