Train Derailment Injures 20
Twenty persons were hurt in a train derailment in Thailand’s southern region of Songkhla on Thursday morning.
Of the 20 injured travelers, five, together with a pregnant woman, are gravely injured.
The cause of the mishap is under examination. The disaster scene is a curve where accidents have transpired in the past.
The Songkhla wreck is the second derailment this week, subsequent to the derailment of a Bangkok-Hat Yai freight train in Phattalung on Tuesday. No one was injured in that accident.
Investigators said they believed that the ties sustaining the tracks were old and failed to bear the weight of the train.
