Verdict Won’t effect UDD
The verdict of the 76.6 billion baht assets seizure case against Thaksin will not have an effect on the faction of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD), ex-prime minister Somchai Wongsawat announced on Friday.
Mr Somchai, brother in-law of coup-rmoved premier Thaksin Shinawatra, spoke during his visit to Puea Thai Party headquarters, where a group of red-shirts gathered to listen to the judgment.
The UDD leaders publicized earlier that the group would hold a mass rally on February 12-14 to compel the government to disband the parliament and put an end to the role of privileged pen pushers, known as Amataya.
Mr Somchai thanked followers of Thaksin and said their support for the ousted prime minister is not pointless even though Thaksin is not in the country to see them.

His visit came while judges at the Supreme Court were reading the verdict.
