Dowsing Rod “Bomb Detector” Questioned by Science Minister
Thai authorities using the GT200 “bomb detector” should exercise prudence until a substitute is found, the science and technology minister says.
Kalaya Sophonpanich met safety officials yesterday at the local outpost of the Internal Security Operations Command (Isoc) at Sirindhorn camp in Yarang district, Pattani.
She is paying a visit to defense authorities in the troubled South to pass on the results of tests on the GT200 “bomb detector.”
Tests were held at the Thailand Science Park in Pathum Thani’s Klong Luang district on Feb 14 after apprehensions were raised abroad that the British-made detectors might not work.
The GT200 recorded only four correct readings out of 20 trials in the Thai tests.
The GT200 is merely a dowsing rod device with capability of detecting anything except credulousness.
