Hacker to be Handed Over
Thailand’s Criminal Court on Thursday chose to hand over a Malaysian computer hacker to the United States for prosecution.
Gooi Kokseng, alias Delpiero, 44, is wanted by the US for being a part of a band of credit card data hackers which had engaged in computer crime in the US and Southeast Asia causing losses of more than US$150 million or 5,000 million baht.
He was arrested in Thailand on Jan 13 last year after the US made a call for his capture with the Foreign Ministry.
Gooi Kokseng will be held for 30 days until he is extradited under the Thai-US mutual extradition agreement.
