Bombers Called “Ill-Intentioned”
The recent bomb attacks in Bangkok after the Thai Supreme court decided to confiscate 46 billion baht of former PM Thaksin’s assets were the work of spiteful people hoping to stir up violent behavior, the rector of the National Institute of Development Administration, Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, told reporters on Monday.
“These groups want to discredit the government and destroy the country’s credibility,” Mr Sombat announced to those assembled.
The government must swiftly arrest the bombers and the people must supply full support for the government’s efforts to preserve order.
Mr Sombat called on all parties to recognize the Supreme Court’s judgment in the Thaksin assets confiscation case, in the interests of nationwide compromise and peace.
