Thai Police Officer in Trouble for Addressing Rally
The uniformed Thai policeman who spoke at the redshirt gathering on Tuesday will face a corrective examination, city police spokesman MajGeneral Piya Uthayo announced on Wednesday.

The Police Aviation Division’s Pol Senior Sergeant Major Ubon Suwanklang’s behaviour was the one who was reported to his boss by the Metropolitan Police, Piya explained.

He also added that the officer would undergo examination because voicing private political opinions while in uniform is a penalizing offense, though it is not extremely harsh. Investigators will also confirm if Ubon had been addressing the marchers while on duty. The inquiry team would also decide if Ubon’s speech could be considered a libel offence, for which he might face legal proceedings, Piya said.
